Since the publication of the COVID-19
RESPONSE roadmap/lockdown exit plan on Monday 22 February, we have
sought additional clarity on how MSV's various business areas are
affected.
We are pleased to provide the following update. More information
will be added when it becomes available.
Non-elite race events
Spectators will be welcome at MSV race events from Saturday 17
April, in compliance with COVID-secure guidance issued by
government. This does not apply to elite motorsport, which must run
behind closed doors until 17 May.
Access to all working areas (e.g. paddocks, pit lanes and garages) will be limited to competitors, volunteer officials, marshals and those providing a service at the event.
Ticket sales will be limited and must be purchased in advance for the time being. There is no requirement for season pass holders to notify us of their attendance beforehand.
A range of physical distancing measures will be in place across the site, including grandstands, and the 'Rule of Six' will be enforced.
Elite-level race events
From no earlier than 17 May, spectators will be permitted to attend elite, national-level events such as British Touring Cars and Bennetts British Superbikes. At this stage, it is not clear what capacity limit will apply to MSV circuits, and we are urgently clarifying this with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS).
Our priority is for as many fans to safely attend these events as possible. Consequently, BSB and BTCC events due to take place during this stage of the roadmap process could be rescheduled. The outcome of our discussions with the DCMS will determine this.
We will provide an update on the Snetterton BTCC event scheduled for 15/16 May in due course, and any other affected customers will be contacted at the earliest opportunity.
Trackdays
Car and bike trackdays will resume operating across the MSV circuits from Monday 29 March. You can find a list of MSV Trackday dates here, and a complete list of events, including third-party operators, here.
A range of safety measures will be in place, similar to 2020 events. This means that, until further notice, only participants and one essential helper can attend. No-one else, including spectating friends and family, will be admitted. At this point, overnight stays are not possible.

Car testing
General testing will resume from 29 March. Click here to visit the full calendar and here to download a PDF summary of safety measures.
Drive! events
The Drive! experience schedule for 27/28 March at Donington has regrettably been cancelled. Full refunds will be provided. All customers will be contacted in the coming days.
All other Drive! events will proceed as planned and are unaffected by the roadmap announcement.
Driving Experiences
We intend to restart MSV driving experiences (F4 Master, YoungDrive! etc.) from April onwards. All voucher due to expire will be automatically extended by three months after we resume.
All voucher holders will be contacted as soon as dates are available.
PalmerSport
PalmerSport events will resume from the week commencing Monday 17 May 2021, a little later than originally hoped. Further details will be made available in due course. In the meantime please visit www.palmersport.com.
